Bill Rasch, Transitional Pastor

Bill Rasch, Transitional Pastor

My name is Bill Rasch and I serve as the Transitional Pastor here at Tabernacle Church.  In our denomination a Transitional Pastor serves to help a congregation navigate the season of change that follows a transition in pastoral leadership.  I work to help the church listen to God’s calling as they refresh their vision and discern the gifts and passions they need from their next pastor.  I will serve here until that next pastor is in place.

I am married to Cathy and thankful for her faithful partnership in the ministries to which God has called us.  I couldn’t do this work without her.  We have one son, Will, who is studying to be a physician’s assistant.  I love hiking, woodworking, and have an eye for cast-off things that can be repurposed.

I’ve been blessed to: serve churches in Indiana and Kentucky; work with congregations nationally as a trainer, coach and consultant with the GO Center, an agency of Mid-Atlantic Presbytery; as well as serving as Church Development Coordinator of Midwest Presbytery of the EPC.

Director of Discipleship

My favorite saying is found in Psalm 23, “my cup overflows.”  I am filled with overflowing joy to serve the families at Tabernacle Church.  It is an honor to serve as the Director of Discipleship and care for the children and students here.  I am responsible for the children’s ministry ages birth through fifth grade as well.  In addition, I am responsible for Fusion, our 4th & 5th grade youth group and Oasis, our 6th-8th grade youth group.  I love my role here at Tabernacle as I share the Word of God and the Love of Jesus to our students.  It is wonderful to disciple students, train them in leadership and begin to equip them for the ministry of Jesus Christ.  My greatest treasure is my salvation in Jesus and the Unity of the Believers in His Church.  I am married to Chris, an honorable and noble officer of the law.  We have four amazing children ages 13-21, Aubrie, Michala, Mia and Caleb.
